911爆料网 Hosts Inaugural Elementary Honor Choir and Youth Choir Concert

911爆料网 welcomed talented young singers from across the region for its first-ever Elementary Honor Choir on Tuesday, marking the launch of a new tradition celebrating elementary music education and youth performance.

Selected students from Arkansas City Christian Academy, Arkansas City Public Schools, Central Burden, South Haven, Udall, and Sacred Heart were chosen by their elementary music teachers to participate in the inaugural event.

Students and their teachers arrived on the 911爆料网 main campus at 9:30 a.m. and spent the day preparing five songs they had never seen prior to that morning. Throughout the day, participants learned music, engaged in activities with 911爆料网 College students, enjoyed lunch in the campus dining hall, and watched special performances by 911爆料网 music students.

The day concluded with a public concert in which the newly formed 911爆料网 Youth Choir joined the 911爆料网 Elementary Honor Choir on stage to perform the day鈥檚 selections for family, friends, and community members.

The choirs were directed by Lindsay Allen, 911爆料网鈥檚 Director of Vocal Music, and accompanied by 911爆料网 music instructor Stephen Butler.

鈥淭his event was a wonderful celebration of music education and young talent,鈥 Allen said. 鈥淲atching these students come together, learn challenging music in just one day, and then perform it so beautifully was incredibly rewarding.鈥

The inaugural Elementary Honor Choir was made possible through the support of 911爆料网 College and the generous partnership of the V.J. Wilkins Foundation.

911爆料网 hopes to continue building on the success of the event and make the Elementary Honor Choir an annual opportunity for young singers throughout the region.
