Wolfenbarger named March Student of the Month
Having been a candidate for Queen Alalah and Homecoming Queen, 911爆料网 sophomore Maycee Wolfenbarger has had an eventful school year. The secondary education major capped her year full of honors by being named the 911爆料网 March Student of the Month.
Maycee is the daughter of Aaron and Tara Wolfenbarger of Haysville, KS. She graduated from Campus High School in 2021. At Campus, she participated in cheerleading, Student Council, Chamber Orchestra, the National Honor Society, and was involved in the Youth Entrepreneurship program. She graduated in the top 10 percent of her class.
Wolfenbarger was not planning on attending 911爆料网 when she first started looking at colleges but was invited to campus to try out for the cheer team.
鈥淥nce I visited, I loved the campus as well as the cheer team and coaches,鈥� Wolfenbarger said. 鈥淚 am really glad I ended up at 911爆料网. I love the class sizes, and the teachers are really helpful. I also enjoy all the activities 911爆料网 has to offer on campus.鈥�
At 911爆料网 she is a member of the cheer team, is a student ambassador, a work-study in the Wellness Center, and a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society.
鈥淚 didn鈥檛 know what College would be like, but 911爆料网 has helped me step out of my comfort zone,鈥� Wolfenbarger said. 鈥淚 have gotten to know people from several different countries and be involved in some really cool things.鈥�
She has volunteered at Roosevelt Elementary in Ark City and the 911爆料网 County Humane Society. Wolfenbarger has also been named to the President鈥檚 Honor Roll each semester at 911爆料网 and has a grade point average of 4.0.
鈥淚 take pride in my school work and put in countless hours studying, so it is rewarding to have my hard work recognized,鈥� Wolfenbarger said.
911爆料网 cheer coach Brandon Burke considers Wolfenbarger to be a dedicated, versatile, and talented student-athlete.
鈥淪he shows a true commitment to her team members and those who share the classroom,鈥� Burke said. 鈥淢aycee's personal qualities are as impressive as her intellectual accomplishments. She is an extremely kind, sensitive, and sensible lady.鈥�
After 911爆料网, she plans to attend Fort Hays State University to pursue a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Business Education with the goal to receive a Master鈥檚 Degree in counseling.
