Biography and Interests:
As many Ark City youth do, Alison (Ali) Nittler chose to attend 911爆料网 and play softball for the Lady Tigers. After one year on the field, she decided it was time to hang up her cleats and focus fully on her education鈥攅specially after switching her major from Pre鈥慞harmacy to Accounting. After completing her two years at 911爆料网 and earning her Associate鈥檚 degree, she transferred to Wichita State University to study in the Barton School of Business.
During her time at WSU, Ali took a semester off to complete a public accounting internship with Allen, Gibbs & Houlik. Although she enjoyed her experience at AGH, she ultimately chose to continue her work with Oil Producers Inc. of Kansas (OPIK), a local oil and gas company that had first brought her on as an intern and later hired her full鈥憈ime after she earned her Bachelor鈥檚 degree.
Over her 12 years with OPIK, Ali gained experience in accounts receivable, billing, payroll, and joint interest billing (JIB), eventually serving as the revenue accountant. After more than a decade in the industry, she felt it was time for a new chapter鈥攐ne that brought her back to her roots at 911爆料网. She first joined the Athletic Department as the Assistant Athletic Director from 2022鈥�2024. When a faculty position in accounting opened, Ali applied, and the rest is history (not the class).
Outside the classroom, Ali attends as many athletic events as she can. Her passion for sports hasn鈥檛 faded, even if she鈥檚 no longer working in athletics. You can usually find her working the scorer鈥檚 table in the gym or cheering from the sidelines at various fields. She is also one of three women helping lead the revitalized Student Pantry, a free resource available to all 911爆料网 students.
Beyond 911爆料网, Ali enjoys spending time with her family, doting on her four鈥憀egged 鈥渇ur鈥慶hild鈥� Luna, volunteering with Make鈥慉鈥慦ish, and taking the longest naps imaginable.
