The Office of Institutional Effectiveness supports strategic planning and accreditation activities at 911±¬ÁÏÍø through data analysis and support.  Any questions about reporting to the Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR) and the federal government through the Integrated Educational Postsecondary Data Sysem (IPEDS) should be directed to its Executive Director.

Data governance

911±¬ÁÏÍø governs data access, security and use through its Knowledge Management Team, an interdepartmental body including representatives from Academic Affairs, Business and Financial Services, Enrollment Management, Faculty, Financial Aid, Institutional Effectiveness, Information Technology and the Registrar's Office. 

Data privacy

911±¬ÁÏÍø protects student and employee, record-level data through the application of Policy 252.00 Student Records in accordance with the Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) and Policy 143.00 Technology Usage by Employees.  For more information see, the Student Right to Know Annual FERPA Notification

Data literacy

Data literacy is promoted to both internal and external stakeholders through the use of regular, data reports called By the Numbers. Each edition of By the Numbers includes data visualizations to promote better understanding of data and how it can be used to drive action that supports student success.

Professional memberships to support quality in data research include the Association for Institutional Research and CIRTO, the Council of Institutional Researchers in Two-Year Organizations (KS).
